Emily's passion for performing arts started in her hometown of Flippin, Arkansas and then carried on to North Arkansas College at The Lyric Theater. She starred in several productions, from Jo March in Little Women to Nurse Mildred Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. In the summers she visited her aunt in Austin, TX to attend musical theater intensives and film acting workshops at The Paramount Theater. Naturally falling in love with the live music capitol of the world, she gravitated here to pursue a career as a professional actress. After relocating, she immediately started working in local projects, both shorts and independent films, including "Dig" shot on 16mm film written/directed by Stephen Belyeu, which won the audience award at Austin Film Festival. She is an ongoing student of the Meisner Technique. She is most interested in layered character work as the broad spectrum of stories to be told are infinite and what inspires her most to be in this industry. When she's not building acting chops, she is a life skills coach to people with disabilities and is going back to school for her degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Outside of performing, she enjoys hiking with her dog Scarlett, road trips, dancing, team sports, and Olympic Lifting.
